Members of the Rangeland 4-H Club came home with ribbons and honours from the Regional Horse Show held in Red Deer’s Westerner Park from June 1 to 3.

Howdy, greetings from Rangeland!
The Rangeland 4-H Beef Club horse and beef clubs have finally been relieved from the pressure of hard work. Our Hearts Club did awesome in all categories at the Regional Horse Show at the Westerner grounds in Red Deer from June 1 to 3. They gave it their all, all the way up until show day was held.

From the horses' manes to tails, they looked amazing, with all the members brushing hard, and bathing, painting hooves and making their horses shimmer and shine for the show. Many ribbons were awarded to each of the participants,  including those from our club. We received second place for stall decorating; we used a circus theme and really pulled it off!  Thanks to all the families and support at our Regional Horse Show.

And now for the beef kids.
All of the members committed to beef put on a smile and did their best. These kids spent months training their steers and heifers for these shows that were held on June  3 and 6. They worked in their small stalls, brushing away to make sure their animals looked great for the show and sale that followed.
Thanks to all that came out and purchased our beef!

On June 22 we will host our final Banquet and Awards Night, and then it all wraps up July 1 when we help with cleanup at the pancake breakfast in Spruce View and then join in with our parade float!
