Male suspects make off with cash stolen from Zoo bar in Innisfail during armed robbery

INNISFAIL – Mounties have released images of two masked male suspects who reportedly robbed a local business after midnight on Tuesday.

On May 9 at about 1:30 a.m., the two males entered the Zoo bar in Innisfail, police reported in a press release issued earlier today, May 11.

One of the suspects was brandishing a long-barrelled firearm and the second was wielding a large knife, said the RCMP.

“The males demanded money from the cash register and left with a small amount of cash,” reads a portion of the press release, adding that nobody was harmed.

The suspects then fled the scene in a white Jeep Cherokee, which police said has since been located and seized by authorities.

The suspect who was carrying the firearm is described as a male donning a black and white hoodie with a camo hood, dark pants, a mask and brown beige shoes.

The other suspect, who had the knife, is described as a male with a red hoodie, red pants, a mask and dark-coloured shoes.

Anyone who might have information about this robbery is requested to contact the Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3341.
