The RCMP's Priority Crimes Task Force, with the assistance of the Innisfail detachment, has arrested four people in connection to a pair of executed but unrelated search warrants last week.

The first task force search warrant was executed on Jan. 25 at a property at 55 Avenue in Red Deer's West Park neighbourhood.

The RCMP recovered three stolen ATVs, a snowmobile and two utility trailers. As well, Mounties recovered a number of smaller stolen items that were traced back to thefts out of Penhold and the Rimbey area, said police.

The RCMP are continuing their investigation, and charges are pending against the 35-year-old Red Deer man who rented the property.

The second unrelated investigation began on Jan. 27 when Blackfalds RCMP tracked a stolen snowmobile to a residence located in the area of Twp. Rd. 391 and Rge. Rd. 273.

Task force team members executed a search warrant at that property later the same day, and seized five stolen snowmobiles, an ATV, a dirt bike and three trailers, as well as several stolen passports, credit cards and pieces of identification.

As well, RCMP seized nine rifles and nine shotguns, one of which was loaded, as well as ammunition and small amounts of drugs.

Robert Allan Brown, 30, of Blackfalds, is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. He made his first court appearance in Red Deer on Feb. 2 and will return for election and plea on March 1.

Charges are pending against a 35-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, both of Red Deer County. RCMP continue to investigate.
