INNISFAIL - A snowfall warning for the Red Deer - Ponoka - Innisfail - Stettler area was lifted Wednesday afternoon.
In it's March 20 afternoon alert update, Environment Canada lists 10 areas of the province under snowfall warnings.
The Airdrie - Cochrane - Olds - Sundre area remains under a snowfall warning while the area to the north from Bowden to the Ponoka area does not. Both warning were put in place on Tuesday.
Special weather statements are in effect for two areas of the province -- the Cardston - Fort Macleod - Magrath area and the Cypress Hills Provincial Park - Foremost area in relation to snowfall.
Ten to 30 centimetres (cm) of snow is expected by Friday morning across southern Alberta, according to Environment Canada.
Most regions will receive between 10 to 20 cm of snow.
The federal agency said areas along the southern foothills are likely to see the highest snowfall totals with amounts as high as 30 cm.
