Business isn't always 9 to 5.

Area residents and businesses are invited on March 29 to join the Town of Penhold at its second Business After Hours event at the Penhold Regional Multiplex from 5 to 7 p.m.

“We're a member of the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce and for a number of years they've had an event on Tuesday evenings called Business After Hours,” said Penhold mayor Dennis Cooper.

The event will feature information on area businesses.

“There will be a number of businesses with tables and presentations,” said Cooper, noting those from Red Deer, Penhold and possibly Springbrook.

So far about 20 tables have registered and are confirmed for the event, said Cooper. Business After Hours is open to the public free of charge.

“People can walk around and see our great facility. Also as a chamber of commerce member, it's bringing businesses together, including business owners and presenters,” added Cooper. “It's about promoting Penhold, businesses in Red Deer and promoting the whole area.”

The second Business After Hours event is being presented by the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce, and is being held in the gymnasium at the multiplex. Cooper noted the first event was successful and he hopes to see the same result with this one.

“It was a big success; a lot of people came out,” said Cooper. “We're looking forward to it.”
