A tractor went up in flames on June 9 on a field just outside of Innisfail.
“The hydraulic system failed on a tractor,” said Innisfail Fire Chief John Syroid.
The tractor was in a green field but was “fairly close” to an oil pumping station. Syroid said it was on a hayfield.
“So there wasn't any danger,” Syroid said.
It took the firefighters about half an hour to get the fire out on the field, which was about four miles north of Innisfail on the C&E Trail, just past the Daines Rodeo Ranch.
Three units, consisting of a command centre, tanker truck and a pumper truck responded to the scene. Seven to eight firefighters were on scene.
Smoke from the fire on the afternoon of June 9 could be spotted from the road.
