In a previous news release issued on June 6, RCMP had said its office received on June 2 a complaint that the family of 57-year-old John Lee had not seen him in “some time.”

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff had said at the times that Mounties were seeking help from the public to locate Lee, who was believed to be living in either the Red Deer or Calgary areas.

Lee was described by police as having:

  • Speaks English and Cantonese;
  • 155 centimetres (5-foot, 1-inch) tall;
  • 91 kilograms (200 pounds);
  • Black hair;
  • Brown eyes;
  • Poor eyesight and wears thick glasses.

Anyone who had been in contact with Lee, or who might have had information on his whereabouts, was asked to contact the Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3341. Alternatively, people who preferred to remain anonymous were encouraged to either contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), submit information online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the "P3 Tips" app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
