With advanced polling now closed voters will have just one more day to cast their ballot in the federal election, which will take place on Monday, May 2.
The polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. and voters will need to show identification at the polls.
Voters can either show one piece of government issued photo identification with name and address such as a drivers license, show two pieces of authorized identification with name and address such as a health care card and water bill, or they can choose to take an oath and have another elector who knows you vouch for you.
Voters in Innisfail can vote at the Royal Canadian Legion. Bowden residents can vote at the Bowden Lions Community Hall, and the Penhold voting station is located at the Penhold Regional Multiplex.
The designated voting stations are determined by the voters’ addresses and to confirm which station you are registered to vote at or if you are a rural resident, you can check the Elections Canada website at www.elections.ca or call the Red Deer returning office toll free at 1-866-497-8893.
All voters should have received a voter card in the mail, which will also specify where and when to vote.
