INNISFAIL - The town has approved a Red Deer County contractor for the million-dollar reconstruction job for 45th Avenue. At council's regular meeting on April 11, a $1,246,685.50 bid from Carbon Earthworks Ltd.

With recent warm temperatures, the spring thaw in and around Innisfail appears well underway. Most of the ice on Dodd's Lake seems to have melted already, welcoming waterfowl and other wildlife back to the area.

Innisfail Fire, RCMP and EMS crews were called to a motorcycle accident late Saturday afternoon (April 20). Tim Ainscough with the Innisfail Fire Dept. confirmed that emergency crews received a call around 4:40 p.m.
