Music lovers of all ages are being encouraged to attend one or both of two upcoming shows in the district.
The Olds Community Chorus vocal group will be performing at Didsbury's Zion Evangelical Missionary Church on May 3 and at First Baptist Church in Olds on May 10.
Each approximately 75-minute show will feature many types of music, including classical, rock, country, Canadian country, and choral.
The 30-member chorus has singers of all ranges, from soprano to bass.
With both male and female members, the group is now in its 26th year of performing. Ross Dabrusin is the current music director.
Chorus members come from across the region, including from as far north as Lacombe and as far south as Carstairs.
President Derek Lewis says the two upcoming shows promise to be great family entertainment.
“We are encouraging people to come out to the shows, and we are also encouraging anyone who is interested to join our chorus,” said Lewis.
Tickets for the shows will be available at the door.
