Jewelry maker Aimee Todd, from Innisfail, left, chats with fellow artist Kathryn Bessie, a painter who lives south of Sundre, on Canada Day during the Otter Pottery studio gallery’s Sundre Outdoor Show and Sale, an art display that drew out more than 200 people over the weekend. The two discuss Bessie’s painting, which depicts a scene from Hunter Valley south of Ya Ha Tinda. Organized by a cohort of local and regional artists and craftspeople, the goal of the event is to promote arts and culture in the area as well as to make Sundre more of a destination, said David Todd, who owns the gallery. There is another art show lined up in August.
