"A great turnout," at the 2024 Bear Valley Rescue Open House

This Saturday was the annual Bear Valley Rescue Open house, where many people showed up on this sunny day south of Sundre to meet and support local rescued animals.

This Saturday, August 24, the annual Bear Valley Rescue Open House happened near Sundre, Alta. where tons of folks came out to learn all about animal rescuing, while also getting to meet the animals.

President of the Bear Valley Rescue Kathy Bartley was in attendance, and said that the warm weather and conditions for the open house did not disappoint.

"The turnout has been great so far this year," Bartley said.

The open house event included guided tours, a bake sale and BBQ, raffles, a 50/50 draw, door prizes, and live music. The ultimate goal of this free-to-enter event is to help educate people on what Bear Valley Rescue is all about, and to also help them raise money to further save local animals.
