The number of fully vaccinated Albertans continues to rise.
The province revealed more than 3.2 million individuals have received two COVID-19 doses. Currently over 87 per cent of Albertans are partially vaccinated and 80 per cent fully vaccinated.
Although one dose provides strong protection, the province is urging individuals to be fully immunized as it provides the best recourse.
"More and more Albertans are choosing to be protected against COVID-19 because of the undeniable fact that vaccines work and they save lives," said Premier Jason Kenney via a media release. "It's great news we reached this milestone that will also help to ease the pressure on our health-care system in the future."
