Alberta is reporting 33 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people who have been diagnosed with the virus to 259 as of Sunday afternoon.
Eighteen people are currently hospitalized and seven are in intensive care.
In its daily update Sunday, the provice stated Albertans are reporting cyber securing incidents involving malware and fraud such as identity theft in the wake of COVID-19. The province asks anyone who receives a call asking for credit card information to hang up immediately and call local law enforcement.

The province has set up a program for people and organizations wanting to help people affected by the pandemic. It has also set up a centre Albertans can call for general information about th government's response to COVID-19, or for help contacting individual program areas. The Alberta Connects Contact Centre will be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week starting March 23 at 310-4455.
