Alleged threats lead to charges

DIDSBURY -- Didsbury RCMP were busy laying a number of charges stemming from a number of recent incidents.

On March 16 in Didsbury, Jason Arthur Morins, a 29-year-old male from Edmonton, was charged with uttering threats, obstructing a peace officer, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

On March 4, Raymond Matthew Niessen, a 36-year-old male from Carstairs, was charged with theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order for keeping the peace and being of good behaviour.

Nicholas Vincent Hankewicz, a 19-year-old male from Didsbury, was charged with several offences from three different dates.

On Nov. 11, 2018 Hankewicz was charged with obstructing justice and two counts of failing to comply with his recognizance; on July 17, 2018, he was charged with three counts of uttering threats; and, finally, on March 13 he was charged with failing to comply with his recognizance near Didsbury.
