Female hoopsters will get a chance to work on their shooting skills this Saturday, Nov. 19 at a free clinic at Hugh Sutherland School in Carstairs.
The clinic is open to all girls from grades 6-12.
Coaching at the clinic is local coach Amber Pedlar, University of Lethbridge assistant coach Larissa Cameron, and former post-secondary players Jason Nysten and Brayden Osterman. "We all wanted to come and give back to the community that contributed to our basketball backgrounds," said Pedlar. "We're looking at building up the program here. We want to introduce good fundamentals at a young age."
