DIDSBURY - RCMP officers were fairly busy in the district in the past couple of weeks.
ï An attached garage on 23rd Street in Didsbury was broken into between July 2 and 3.
Cpl. Clint Audette of the Didsbury RCMP detachment said the garage door was left open.
"Stolen were two bikes, Rollerblades and a hockey bag containing camping equipment," said Audette.
ï RCMP responded to a theft of a truck sometime overnight between July 2 and 3 on 24th Avenue in Didsbury.
A 2003 grey Ford Super Duty was stolen, said Audette. The truck was later recovered. There have been no arrests.
ï Police responded to a theft from a vehicle in Bondar's Gate in Carstairs.
"Stolen were approximately $2,900 worth of welding equipment," he said. "No suspects at this time."
ï On June 29 police received a report of a stolen 2008 Honda CBR 600 (red in colour) motorcycle on Wallace Drive in Carstairs.
"That vehicle is still outstanding," he said. "No suspects."
ï A liquor store was broken into on 20th Street in Didsbury on June 30. An undisclosed amount of liquor was stolen. Police have no suspects at this time.
ï An Olds native has been charged with several offences after allegedly stealing a motor vehicle in Carstairs on June 15.
Nineteen-year-old Justin Anglet was also charged with damaging property over $5,000, resisting arrest, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of break-in instruments, driving a motor vehicle while not insured, operating a motor vehicle without a driver's licence and operating a motor vehicle without registration.
ï On June 16, police responded to a break and enter to Bergthal Mennonite Church on Twp. Rd. 310 between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Didsbury RCMP Staff Sgt. Chad Fournier said that nothing was taken.
ï On June 20 at around 5:30 p.m. RCMP responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 2 just north of the Acme overpass.
The collision involved a transport truck, Hyundai and Dodge Charger.
The driver of the Charger, Vicki Cline, a 45-year-old female from Fort Saskatchewan, was charged with impaired driving, driving while over 0.08, and dangerous driving.
