DIDSBURY - Music fans in the area are in for a treat on Dec. 15 with the Sounds of the Season concert taking place at Zion Church in Didsbury.
Not only will the concert feature great music from local groups but it's also a fundraiser in support of the Didsbury Christmas Helpers hamper program and Essentials for Our Community.
Playing at the concert are local trio A Touch of Grace, which features Debbie Rion, Janice Walls and Kelly Berg; the 2A Community Band; Charlotte Hickok; and Monika with a K and friends.
Rion, who is one of the organizers, said they are looking forward to the concert.
"People can expect a lot of really nice Christmas music," said Rion. "It'll be a nice mixture of different types and styles of music."
Rion said all funds raised at the concert, which will have admission by donation, will be split equally between the two organizations, Didsbury Christmas Helpers and Essentials for Our Community.
"It's important to help out the people in our community who need a little help," she said. "Especially at this time of year with the economy the way it is."
