Re: “Wildrose wants expanded midwife services”, p. 6 in March 1 Gazette. There were about 2,700 midwife-attended births in Alberta in 2015. The 100 midwifes in Alberta are trained health professionals who help women deliver babies in hospital, at home or at birthing centres.
