CRASH SCENE – RCMP officers and firefighters work at the scene of a two-vehicle collision outside Didsbury that sent one person to hospital.

An adult woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash south of Didsbury.

The cars collided at the intersection of Rge. Rd. 20 and Twp. Rd. 310 on June 29.

The injured woman, who has not been named, was taken from the vehicle on a stretcher and placed in a waiting ambulance.

She was transported to Didsbury Hospital with minor soft tissue injuries, said EMS spokesperson Adam Loria.

The woman was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collision.

Two girls in the vehicle were not injured nor were the occupants of the second vehicle, Didsbury RCMP Staff Sgt. Chad Fornier said at the scene.

Alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash, he said.

Both vehicles ended up heavily damaged in the northeast ditch.

Traffic was diverted around the collision scene following the mishap.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation at press time.
