With Albertans going to the polls on April 16, there are a total of eight declared candidates in region as of Tuesday.
In Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills constituency, incumbent UCP MLA Nathan Cooper is facing off against Alberta Party candidate Chase Brown and NDP candidate Kyle Johnston.
In the Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre riding, incumbent UCP MLA Jason Nixon is facing off against Alberta Party candidate Joseph Anglin, Green Party candidate Jane Drummond, Alberta Advantage Party candidate Paula Lamoureux, and NDP candidate Jeff Ible.
The candidate nomination deadline is March 29.
