DIDSBURY - Four people with ties to an outlaw motorcycle gang face a number of charges including kidnapping, forcible confinement and drug charges after an investigation by Didsbury RCMP into an alleged home invasion in Didsbury and kidnapping in Olds.

On June 17, three of the suspects allegedly abducted two victims from a location in Olds, said Cpl. Laurel Scott, RCMP media relations, in a press release. The victims were driven in their own vehicle to the Syndicate Motorcycle Club clubhouse in Red Deer where one of them was assaulted and then released, said Scott in the release.

"On June 29, three different suspects came to the same victim's residence in Didsbury and broke into the house," she said. "The suspects stole the female victim's car and fled."

The four suspects, Kevin Michael Fix, Rachel Lynn Baskier, Jessie Doreen Waugh, all of Red Deer, and Joshua Bradley Noordhoff, of Lacombe, were arrested without incident in Red Deer on July 10. Following their arrest a search warrant was executed at the Syndicate Motorcycle Club Red Deer clubhouse, and evidence was seized for further examination, said Scott.

"On July 11, a second search warrant was executed at a residence in Red Deer where cocaine, cash and further evidence was seized," she said.

Information gathered by RCMP reveals that the Syndicate Motorcycle Club in Red Deer is a support club for the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club -- Nomads chapter.

"Combatting outlaw motorcycle gang members and their related organized criminal activities remains a top national priority for the RCMP," said Didsbury RCMP Staff Sgt. Chad Fourier. "Information gathering and a collaboration amongst several different units was crucial to the successful outcome of this investigation. Disrupting criminal activity is a key component to crime reduction."

  • Baskier, from Red Deer, is facing three charges of kidnapping without a firearm.
  • Fix is facing 11 charges including three counts of kidnapping without a firearm, uttering threats (x2) and breaking and entering and committing the offence of extortion.
  • Waugh is facing four charges including breaking and entering and committing forcible confinement (x2), possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Noordhoff is facing nine charges including two counts of uttering threats, breaking and entering and committing the offence of extortion (x2) and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

The investigation remains ongoing, said Scott.
