DIDSBURY-OLDS - It was a great turnout of spectators and vehicles for the Mountain View Pistons' 14th annual Show 'n Shine on Saturday at the Olds-Didsbury Airport.

The event's success was helped by the beautiful sunny skies for the outdoor event.

The event featured about 200 vehicles of all types, as well as awards, draws, food vendors, a pancake breakfast put on by the Olds Kiwanis Club, and an airport fly-in.

Pistons club member Neil Morrow said, "This is our big event for the year. This is our 14th year of having a Show 'n Shine and our fourth year having it at the Olds-Didsbury Airport. Last year our numbers were down but the weather was really bad.

"Today it held so that's why it's up. It's all about the cars and driving them. Just bring it, show it, have fun. It's been very good."

Morrow said having the show at the airport is a big draw.

"It's a nice mix with the airplanes," he said. "It's gone over quite a bit better than we thought it would. People enjoy the scenery. We have planes coming in and out. It's been great."

Morrow said that any money raised above expenses is given back to the community to groups such as Snow Angels, Mountain View Food Bank and the local hospice society.
