There’s ample opportunities to get into the Halloween spirit leading up to and including Tuesday, Oct. 31 in Innisfail, Olds, Sundre, Didsbury and Carstairs.

INNISFAIL

Halloween Boo Bash Swim

At the Innisfail Aquatic Centre on Saturday, Oct. 28 there will be swimming, activities, crafts, and prizes. Feel free to wear a swimmable costume to get you in the mood for Halloween. Admission is $6.25. For those who have punch passes or memberships, the cost is $1/person after your membership discount is applied.

SUNDRE

Halloween Extravaganza

Following last year’s success, the Sundre Municipal Library once again is teaming up with the Sundre & District Museum to host some all-ages, family-friendly Halloween fun, with everything being hosted at the historic pioneer village grounds on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The library’s portion of the day’s activities will feature carnival style games that run from 2-4 p.m. with plenty of treats to be distributed along the way, while the museum’s village will from 6:30-8:30 p.m. be haunted by ghoulish apparitions and spooky spectres seeking to send shivers down the spines of those who are daring enough to venture out into the dark after the sun sets.

Entry is cash donation for the museum for its Raise the Roof project or non-perishable and non-expired food items for Plus 1.

OLDS

Boys and Girls Club of Olds and Area Haunted House

Hosted at the former Olds fire hall (4829 50th Street), Fright Nights will be held Thursday, Oct. 26 from 7 – 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27 from 7 – 10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 28 from 8 – 11 p.m.

Entry is $10 per person and everyone is asked to bring a donation for the food bank if feasible.

All students get in for $5 when you show your student ID, or use the tickets that have been handed out around town.

While the evening haunted house is not recommended for anyone under the age of 13 due to the graphic details within the event, a free child-friendly haunted house will be held during Uptowne Olds’ Halloween Howl on Oct. 28 from 1 – 3 p.m.
