CARSTAIRS - It was a near full house at the Carstairs Heritage Centre on Feb. 24 for cowboy singer Tim Hus. He put on a great show full of songs about Canadiana.

The show was part of the museum's concert series.

Museum curator-manager Meggi Mah said the show was well attended.

"It was a great show," said Mah. "I think that everyone there enjoyed themselves. Besides being an excellent musician, Tim is really a master storyteller and a great keeper of Canadian history.

"It couldn't have been more perfect to have someone come to our little historic church and museum and sing stories of Canadians past and present."

Hus was born in Nelson, B.C., but now lists Calgary as his hometown. His music is coined as "Canadiana Cowboy Music" and tells tales of the historic west and those who helped form it.

He has shared the stage with plenty of other great talents including Canadian legend Stompin' Tom Connors, Ian Tyson and Corb Lund.

Hus has released six original CDs with names like Songs of West Canada, Alberta Crude and Hockeytown.

Next up for the museum's concert series is T. Buckley on March 24.
