Seventy-five enthusiastic young competitors took part in the March 25 Mountain View Cowpoke Junior Rodeo Club event at the Raecer Ranch Arena east of Sundre.
The rodeo features competitors age three to 14. They compete in goat tying, goat untying, pole bending, chute dogging, steer riding, breakaway roping and barrel racing events.
The March 25 rodeo was the second-to-last rodeo of the 2016-17 season. Co-organizer Patricia McKean says the youngsters are certainly learning the ropes this season.
"The kids are doing amazing and they are all going to be ready for the spring and summer rodeo season," said McKean.
The results of the March 25 rodeo are as follows:
ï Jet Daines won the seven and under pole bending event with a 28.48-second time. Ellie Havens finished second and Jorgia Holmes finished third.
ï Raelynn Sande won the six and under goat tail untying event with an 11.1-second time. Grace Havens finished second and Ellie Havens finished third.
ï Trippett Lunde won the seven and under goat tying event with a final 40.2-second time. Jorgia Holmes finished second and Kashton Ziebarth finished third.
ï Jet Daines won the seven and under barrels event with an 18.78-second time. Grave Havens finished second and Ellie Havens finished third.
ï Cade Christensen won the steer riding event. Ryan Rosevear finished second and Bailey Schellenberg and Tanner Charles tied for third.
ï Justise Jones won the chute-dogging event, with Brandon Tetz finishing second and Randon Ross finishing third.
ï Brody Coleman won the 12-14 breakaway roping event, with Kaidence Lashmore finishing second.
ï Joel Evans won the 11 and under breakaway event, with Caleb Fawcett finishing second.
ï Randon Ross and Joel Evans won the 14 and under team roping event.
ï Cayden Cyrankiewicz won the eight-11 goat-tying event, with Emma Webb finishing second and Noah Kelly finishing third.
ï Kyla Kelly won the 12-14 goat-tying event, with Justise Jones finishing second and Brody Coleman finishing third.
ï Emma Webb won the eight-11 barrel racing event with a 15.02-second time. Aubrey Ross finished second and Teagan Brink finished third.
ï Kyla Kelly won the 12-14 barrel racing event with a 15.12-second time. Reagan Tebb finished second and Paige Fenton finished third.
ï Emma Webb won the eight-11 pole-bending event with a 22.52-second time. Joel Evans finished second and Aubrey Ross finished third.
ï Reagan Tebb won the 12-14 pole bending event with a 21.11-second time. Kyla Kelly finished second and Justise Jones finished third.
"We had an awesome day and thanks to our announcer Suzie Turton, timers Shannon Argent and Deb Williamson, and judges Jason Coleman and Shawn Argent," said McKean.
"Thanks to everyone else who helped out. It was a great day."
The final rodeo of the season goes April 15 at the Raecer Ranch Arena.
"We would love for everyone to come and watch," she said.
