Seventy youngsters took part in the Jan. 28 Mountain View Cowpoke Junior Rodeo at the Raecer Ranch Arena.
The rodeo features competitors age three to 14. Competitors take part in a number of rodeo events such as goat tying, goat untying, pole bending, steer riding, breakaway roping and barrel racing.
"They are all doing so well," said event co-organizer Patricia McKean. "The kids who are new to the competition of rodeo have come so far. It is so awesome to see them progress each rodeo."
The results of the Jan. 28 rodeo are as follows:
ï Grace Havens finished first in the seven and under pole bending event with a 32.95 final time. Jorgia Holmes finished second and Raelyn Sande third.
ï Harlee Bensmiller won the six and under goat untying event with a 15.21 final time. Raelynn Sande finished second and Ellie Havens third.
ï Harlee Bensmiller won the seven and under goat tying event with a 33.48 final time. Madison Schellenberg finished second and Trippett Lunde third.
ï Grace Havens won the seven and under barrels event with a 17.34 time. Jorgia Holmes finished second and Ellie Havens third.
ï Joel Evans won the steer riding event, with Glen Erickson finishing second and Bailey Schellenberg third.
ï Randon Ross won the 12-14 breakaway roping event with a 3.15 final time. Walker Warkentin finished second and Kaidence Lashmore third.
ï Denim Ross won the 11 and under breakaway roping event with a 3.03 final time. Aubrey Ross finished second.
ï Walker Warkentin and Joel Evans won the 14 and under team roping event with a 16.86 final time. Taiga Thorsteinsson and Kyla Kelly finished second.
ï Denim Ross won the 8-11 goat tying event with a 11.77 final time. Hannah Sheehan finished second and Aubrey Ross third.
ï Kyla Kelly won the 12-14 goat tying event with a 10.15 final time. Reagan Tebb finished second and Justise Jones third.
ï Emma Webb won the 8-11 barrel racing event with a 15.22 final time. Cora Croteau finished second and Teagan Brink third.
ï Justise Jones won the 12-14 barrel racing event with a 15.28 final time. Jacey Barnett finished second and Paige Fenton finished third.
ï Joel Evans won the 8-11 pole bending event with a 23.31 final time. Aubrey Ross finished second and Teagan Brink third.
ï Justise Jones won the 12-14 pole bending event with a 23.8 final time. Randon Ross finished second and Taiga Thorsteinsson third. The next Mountain View Cowpoke Junior Rodeo takes place at the Raecher Ranch Arena on Feb. 25.
"We look forward to seeing everyone there," said McKean.
The Mountain View Cowpoke Junior Rodeo club is in its second season.
