MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY - Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a fog advisory Wednesday for Mountain View County and the urban centres near it.
“Dense fog with near zero visibility continues in some localities. Fog is likely to persist into the overnight hours and may become more extensive,” the federal agency’s 3:20 p.m. Dec. 4 alert update said.
A fog advisory is issued when low visibilities in fog are expected for at least six hours.
The advisory was issued for Mountain View County near Carstairs, Cremona, Water Valley, Olds, Didsbury and Sundre.
The federal agency’s advisory said conditions will improve on Thursday morning.
“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations,” the federal agency’s alert said.
