Fish and Wildlife officers are seeking public tips after poachers killed a bull moose between Carstairs and Madden.

Sometime during the weekend of Oct. 19-20 unknown individuals entered private land at Twp. Rd. 29 and Rge. Rd. 2 and killed the animal.

Officers do not know if the animal was killed with a firearm or a bow, said Sundre Fish and Wildlife officer Adam Mirus.

The offenders took part of the animal and left other parts to rot.

Officers believe more than one individual was involved, he said.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Report-A-Poacher at 1-800-642-3800 or the Sundre Fish and Wildlife office at 403-638-3805.
