Elections Alberta has posted the official results of the April 16 provincial election, including from the two Mountain View County-area ridings.
In the Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre riding, a total of 25,206 votes were counted out of 30,389 electors.
UCP candidate Jason Nixon garnered 20,579 (81 per cent), NDP candidate Jeff Ible 2,293 (9.1 per cent), AP candidate Joe Anglin 1,350 (5.4 per cent), FCP candidate Dawn Berard 303 (1.2 per cent), GPA candidate 286 (1.1 per cent), AAP candidate Paula Lamoureux 161 (0.6 per cent), AIP candidate Dave Rogers 185 (0.7 per cent) and IND candidate Gordon Francey 50 (0.2 per cent),
In the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills riding, a total of 26,110 votes were counted out of 33,641 electors.
UCP candidate Nathan Cooper garnered 20,516 (78 per cent of votes counted), NDP candidate Kyle Johnston 3,070 (11 per cent), AP candidate Chase Brown 1,779 (six per cent), FCP candidate Allen MacLennan 557 (two per cent), and AAP Dave Hughes 195 (0.7 per cent).
The official results were released April 26.
