Pair charged with possession of stolen property

DIDSBURY -- A Red Deer duo were both charged with three counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 stemming from an incident in Carstairs on March 29. Charged were 21-year-old Shae-Lee Lynn Phillips and 39-year-old Brian Frederick Stephens.

DIDSBURY -- A Red Deer duo were both charged with three counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 stemming from an incident in Carstairs on March 29.

Charged were 21-year-old Shae-Lee Lynn Phillips and 39-year-old Brian Frederick Stephens.

Didsbury RCMP Staff Sgt. Chad Fournier said the two were charged with possession of a stolen laptop computer, a credit card statement, a Visa card and a certificate of registration for a vehicle.

Phillips was also charged with one count of possession of stolen property over $5,000 for a 2018 Dodge Ram truck, and two counts of obstructing a peace officer by providing a false name.

Stephens is also charged with occupying a motor vehicle that was taken without consent and possession of methamphetamine.

In other police news, Chad Everett Myre, a 34-year-old male from Didsbury was charged on April 29 with failure to comply with his recognizance.

"He was arrested by the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Team in cooperation with Didsbury RCMP for several outstanding warrants," said Fournier. "He's since been remanded into custody."

On April 12 in Didsbury, Arley Gordon Hobbs, an 81-year-old male from Didsbury, was charged with impaired driving and driving while over 0.08.

On April 11 in Carstairs, Brandon Alexander Charlton, a 33-year-old male from Three Hills, was charged with impaired driving and driving while over 0.08.
