Police looking for missing woman with Torrington connection

Editor's note: Calgary Police Service gave an update on Tuesday, Dec. 12 that the formerly missing woman has been found.

A woman police say has connections to the Torrington area was identified Saturday as missing by Calgary police.

Calgary Police Service notified the public Saturday, Dec. 2 that a woman, is missing.

“While (she) is believed to be in the Calgary area, she also has connections to the Red Deer and Torrington areas,” police said in a news release.  

“After exhausting all investigative avenues, police are turning to the public for their help in hopes of locating (her).”

According to police, the missing 36 year old was last seen in the area of Victoria Park on Saturday, Nov. 4.

“It is unusual for (the woman) to be out of contact with her family, who along with police, are concerned for her well-being,” police said in the release.

Weighing approximately 143 pounds, she is described as five-feet, seven-inches tall with a medium build, has brown hair and blue eyes.
