Red Deer County council has approved facility capital assistance grants for 14 community groups. In all, almost $250,000 will be distributed.
Groups and organizations receiving funds are as follows: Lousana Community Association $25,000; Pine Lake Hub Community Association $56.500.50; Spruce View Community Association $3,450; Valley Centre Community Hall $11,000; Great Bend Community Hall $3,243.05; Shady Nook Community Hall $14,000; Stephan G. Stephansson Icelandic Society (Fensala Hall) $2,105; Antler Hill
Community Association $10,265; GlenEllen Community Centre $43,500;
Golden West Drop-in Centre $3,370; Linn Valley Community Association,
$2,625; Oklahoma Community Centre of Innisfail $31,447.69; Benalto
Booster Club (Centennial Train Station) $27,987.28; and Danish Canadian National Museum Society, $15,506.48.
