Seventy-five youngsters took part in the recent Mountain View Cowpoke Junior Rodeo event at the Raecher Ranching Riding arena east of Sundre.
It was the fourth rodeo in the club's first-ever season, with the boys and girls all showing continued development in their respective events, said co-organizer Patricia McKean
“Everyone is doing so well,” said McKean. “You can sure see the improvements as the season goes along.”
The Feb. 27 rodeo was the second straight event with more than 70 competitors, with 78 kids riding and roping at the January event.
The rodeo features participants up to 14 years of age competing in goat tying, goat untying, pole bending, steer riding, breakaway roping and barrel racing.
Erika Webb finished first in the seven and under pole bending event, with Casey Cyrankiewicz finishing second and Kazziah McFadden finishing third.
Levi Davis finished first in the six and under goat untying event, with Trippett Lunde finishing second and Ellie Havens finishing third.
Ryden Hillock finished first in the seven and under goat tying event, with Noah Kelly finishing second and Casey Cyrankiewicz finishing third.
Erika Webb won the seven and under barrels, with Casey Cyrankiewicz finishing second and Messina McConnell finishing third,
Brandon Sahli won the steer riding event, Tyler Craig finished second and Jaymie Conrad finished third.
Denton Argent won the 12 - 14 breakaway roping.
Reagan Tebb won the 11 and under breakaway roping, with Abbie Lashmore finished second.
Reagan Tebb won the 8-11 goat tying event, with Hanna Sheehan finishing second and Cayden Cyrankiewicz finishing third.
Logan Bender won the 12-14 goat tying event, with Alex Keras finishing second and Cati McArthur finishing third.
Reagan Tebb won the 8-11 barrel racing event, with Tynell Schooten finishing second and Presley Chaytors finishing third.
Amanda Harder won the 12-14 barrel racing event, with Alex Keras finishing second and Kyla Kelly finishing third.
Presley Chaytors won the 8-11 pole bending event, with Teagan Brink finishing second and Hannah Sheehan finishing third.
Amy Shuckburg won the 12-14 pole bending event, with Kyla Kelly finishing second and Cati McArthur finishing third.
The next junior rodeo at the Raecer Ranching Riding arena is scheduled for March 19 starting at 10 a.m.
