Poor weather road conditions were a factor in a rollover crash at Highway 22 and the Westcott Road on April 13, say police.

The southbound semi tipped completely over and spilled its load of lumber across both lanes and into both ditches shortly before noon.

The male driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was not injured in the mishap, Didsbury RCMP Const. Derek Howes said at the scene.

Highway 22 remained closed in both directions for several hours following the crash, with traffic being diverted onto county roads.

Meanwhile the same day a male snowplow driver in his 60s was taken to Didsbury hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the vehicle went off Rge. Rd. 35 northeast of Cremona, said an EMS spokesperson.

Snow created poor road conditions across the region.
