Student athletes from Carstairs, Didsbury and Cremona did very well at the recent divisional cross-country meet in Sundre.

Held on Oct. 1 on Sundre’s Snake Hill, the meet featured runners from across Chinook's Edge School Division competing in a dozen categories.

In Bantam boys, Carstairs' Hugh Sutherland (HS) runner Gavin Johnson finished first, Scott Sandilance (HS) finished third, Sawyer Lorree (HS) finished sixth, Torence Stang (HS) finished seventh, Didsbury’s Westglen (WG) runner Brenda Fiefield finished eight, and Peyton Weese (WG) finished 10th.

In Bantam girls, Tyne Alliban (HS) finished second, Sade Sandilance (HS) finished third, Cremona School (CS) runner Georgia Bird finished sixth, London Williams (HS) finished eighth and Lorielei Reber (HS) finished ninth.

In Intermediate boys, Aiden Good (HS) finished first.

In Junior boys, Quinn Schmick (GHS) finished first.

In Junior girls, Christobel Piche (HS) finished first and Jenavieve Bird (CS) finished second.

In Juvenile boys, Noah Steingart (HS) finished first, Liam Good (HS) finished second, Evan Reid (CS) finished sixth, Zander Jean (HS) finished seventh, Josh Bakelaar (HS) finished eighth, Jordan Laverliere (HS) finished ninth and Cohen Richardson (HS) finished 10th.

In Juvenile girls, Erin Black from Didsbury High School (DH) finished first, Skyla Grenier (HS) finished second, Alexandra Harvey (HS) finished fifth, Tatiana Thompson (HS) finished sixth and Rebecca Nielsen (HS) finished seventh.

In Midget boys, Jacob Porter (HS) finished first, Gus Reid (CS) finished third and Blake Miller (WG) finished fifth.

In Midget girls, Aysiah Dunham (HS) finished fourth and Ava Krynski (WG) finished ninth.

In Senior girls, Sophie Porter (HS) finished first.

Numerous other Carstairs, Didsbury and Cremona runners finished races.
