MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY – A snowfall warning originally issued for the southern parts of Mountain View County Monday morning has been extended to include the entire county.

Environment and Climate Change Canada’s alert for Mountain View Co. near Carstairs, Stirlingville, Cremona and Water Valley now also includes Didsbury, Olds and Sundre.

Snowfall with localized amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres is expected, the federal agency said in a 9:53 a.m. Nov. 18 alert update.

“Heavy snow will fall this morning and ease during the day. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions,” the alert for the area said.
