Traumatic injuries in OHV incident

An adult male suffered traumatic injuries in an off-road vehicle incident in Mountain View County over the weekend. The Olds Fire Department was dispatched around 8:51 p.m. on July 14 to a location on Rge. Rd. 2.7.

A man was transported by STARS to Foothills Medical Centre with undisclosed injuries sustained in an off-road vehicle incident.

An adult male suffered traumatic injuries in an off-road vehicle incident in Mountain View County over the weekend.

The Olds Fire Department was dispatched around 8:51 p.m. on July 14 to a location on Rge. Rd. 2.7.

“On arrival, there was an adult male suffering traumatic injuries sustained while engaged in off road vehicle activities,” fire department officials said in a press release.

EMS and fire department members administered care while STARS was dispatched.

The man was transported by STARS to Foothills Medical Centre  with undisclosed injuries.

“Olds RCMP are investigating the circumstances of the incident, but it is not believed that the individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident,” states the release.

Emergency Services noted the importance of using proper safety equipment and awareness of the hazards of off-road vehicle use.
