A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Carstairs massage therapist facing two charges of voyeurism.

Mark Henning Oliver Blessmann was scheduled to go to trial in Didsbury provincial court on Oct. 4 but did not appear.

Blessmann allegedly secretly videotaped his clients at his Carstairs Blessmann’s Day Spa.

Blessmann was charged in October 2017 after video recordings of female clients were discovered on a computer that had been taken in for servicing, say police.

“Didsbury RCMP were contacted by a computer repair technician who reported that he had been contracted to repair a laptop,” said RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters.

“While making the repair, the technician discovered video files that concerned him. The technician provided the computer in question to police and an investigation was launched.”

The Massage Therapist Association of Alberta has suspended Blessmann’s licence to practise.

Anyone with information about Blessmann’s whereabouts is being asked to contact RCMP.
