The Water Valley Campground was expected to be ready last Friday to meet its targeted reopening date, Mountain View County administration said last week.ìStaff have been working hard this week and at this point we hope to make it available Friday,î said Jeff Holmes, director of legislative, community and agricultural services.ìAs long as the septic truck arrives Friday Ö we're confident it will open.îAbout 30 of the 40-48 camping sites will be reopened to the public, Holmes said.Council ordered the cleanup in response to continuing pressure from Water Valley merchants to reopen the county-owned facility, closed since the site flooded in late May.
