DIDSBURY - The Didsbury Minor Hockey Association (DMHA) held its annual hockey awards on March 27 at the Elks Hall to honour players, coaches and referees.
Michelle Backstrom, DMHA communications , said the association had a great year with five teams competing hard all year.
"In our association the Novice team went the furthest in league play," said Backstrom. "Atom As won the (South Central) zone banner to go on to provincials where they won the provincial Atom B title.
"A big thank you to all the parents, coaches and referees for your love of the game and the countless hours of commitment to making the Ramblers a success. Come on out to our annual general meeting on April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Didsbury Golf Course tournament room."
Awards presented were: Referee of the Year - Payton McMane; Coach of the Year - Audrey Campbell; Volunteer Family of the Year - Jason & Andrea Sawatzky; Cal Brassard (Spirit of the sport) - Brendan Fifield; Goalie of the Year - Jaren Leaver.
