Former Olds resident Danielle Lappage, a competitor in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, plans to compete in the Commonwealth Games in Australia next month.
The 27-year-old wrestler who now lives in Calgary, is still recovering from an injury she suffered in Rio. She tore a hamstring while warming up before a scheduled match.
After the Commonwealth Games she hopes to obtain a berth on the national team in June.
