OLDS — There’s still a chance to get tickets for the Olds Grizzlys Junior A Hockey Club’s annual Awards and Fundraising Banquet -- if you act quickly.
The deadline to obtain tickets is tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 28. Contact the main Grizzly Office at 403.556.1121 or go online to www.oldsgrizzlys.ca for more information or to book your tickets.
The banquet, which marks the end of the 2022-23 season, will be held this Saturday, March 4 at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites. Cocktails are at 5 p.m., dinner begins at 6 p.m. with awards to follow at about 7 p.m.
The annual event is an opportunity to recognize players through the Grizzly awards program and thank graduating players, and to acknowledge the contributions of the many sponsors, volunteers, player families, and fans who make having a community team possible.
Tickets are $700 for a table of eight, or $100 per person. The ticket includes dinner, the awards program, as well as access to the live auction and the signature feature of this year’s fundraiser, a “hot stove” of former NHL players Brian Sutter and Jay Rosehill.
This year’s presenting sponsor is ScottCo Chemicals.
