OLDS — The first two recruits for 2021-22 edition of the Olds College Broncos Men's soccer and futsal teams are two Alberta residents.
They are Emmanuel Mukolo of Edmonton and Lane Forseille of Grande Prairie.
The duo have signed letters of intent to join the program.
Mukolo, a centre back who stands 6'1," played soccer at Louis St. Laurent High School in Edmonton as well as South West United in that city.
While he played for Louis St. Laurent, the team won a division 2 city championship.
Mukolo was born in the Congo and raised in South Africa.
He’s looking forward to learning a lot from Broncos head soccer coach Niels Slotboom.
"I'm looking forward to the team and having a bond with them for the next few years while unlocking my potential as a soccer player," he said.
Mukolo is enrolled in the college’s sports management program.
Forseille, a 5'7" fullback/winger, played soccer at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Grande Prairie.
While there, he competed in the 2016 Alberta Summer Games and starred for the Grande Prairie Wolves soccer club.
"I look forward to playing at the college level and the great experience that will come from that,” Forseille said. “I want to carry on the Bronco tradition of playing every game with pride and passion.
“I look forward to becoming a teammate who works hard to represent the Broncos spirit and to play with people who love the game of soccer as much as I do."
Forseille is enrolled Olds College’s horticulture technologist diploma program.
