Olds Midget A manager Maria Virtuoso says the round robin tournament attracted teams from as far as Edmonton.

Organizers had been getting ready to host the tournament since September.

Virtuoso says they got great support from local businesses.

"I think the town of Olds benefited tremendously from this tournament,"  Virtuoso says, noting places like hotels, restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores saw business from tournament fans.

"There were a ton of volunteers who came together to make this a successful weekend despite the outcome," she says.
