Bowden council has demonstrated that it backs the Bowden Blades Pee Wee hockey team.
This past week, council approved a request from the team for a $250 donation.
The town's chief administrative officer, Andy Weiss, says it's his understanding the money is going toward a tournament.
“Council typically does what they can to help the local teams every year,” Weiss says.
