OLDS — Olds Grizzlys forward Cade Moxham is the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Inter Pipeline Rookie of the Week.
That announcement was made Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Moxham, born in 2004, racked up five points this past weekend as the Grizzlys undertook a three-game road trip versus the Whitecourt Wolverines, Grande Prairie Storm and Sherwood Park Crusaders.
The Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week is Spruce Grove Saints Captain Luigi Benincasa.
The Edmonton forward recorded four points, earned two Viterra AJHL Star of the Game awards and scored a game-winning goal during three games played.
Blackfalds Bulldogs goaltender Matthew Hennessey is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week.
Hennessey, born in 2002, posted a 2-0 record and a 1.46 goals-against average during the week of Dec. 5-11.
