OLDS — It’s been a tough start to the 2023 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) season for the Olds Grizzlys.
As of Monday, Oct. 2, their record stood at one win, five losses and one overtime loss for three points in seven games.
The Grizzlys will get an opportunity to improve their place in the standings this evening, Friday, Oct. 6, when they take on the Lloydminster Bobcats in the border city.
Their lone win of the season occurred Friday, Sept. 22 when they shut out the Spruce Grove Saints 3-0 at the Sportsplex.
The AJHL Showcase, held Sept. 27-30 in Calgary was another humbling experience.
On Friday, Sept. 29, the Grizzlys were shut out 2-0 by the Saints.
On Sept. 27, in their first game of the AJHL Showcase, the Grizzlys suffered a 7-2 loss to Grande Prairie.
