OLDS — École Olds High School junior varsity girls volleyball head coach Stephanie Crofts is pleased with the performance of her squad when they were asked to fill a vacancy in the school’s home tournament Oct. 13-14.
“They did very well; I feel that their motivation and energy level proved them well for the weekend," Crofts wrote in an email to the Albertan.
However, Croft sees room for improvement.
“Something they certainly need to keep on working on is communication and moving their feet,” she wrote. “I find that mid-year, they hit a slump. Not sure why, they just do.”
The team was preparing for two upcoming tournaments: in Canmore Oct. 27 and Lacombe on Nov. 3.
After that comes the big test: zones hosted by Strathmore in November.
