Thirty-six basketball teams from across the province, including one from Olds, were in town over the weekend for a tournament hosted by the Edmonton-based Swoosh Canada Basketball Club.
Former Olds High School player Jared Hammer was the coach of the Olds team, which was named the "Spartans."
He had his brother Jayden recruit players from the OHS team.
They went 0-3 in the U-17 boys tournament, playing the Rimbey Storm, Edson Raiders and Sylvan Squad.
